Terms & Conditions of Boarding

1.       Please bring your cat’s up to date vaccination certificate (against Cat ‘flu and Panleukopaenia). It cannot be admitted without one! Please complete vaccinations at least two weeks before boarding. Call to discuss if unsure.

2.      All cats will be checked on arrival and cannot be admitted if showing signs of infectious disease, skin problems or in poor health. This is for the good of all cats boarded.  For cats that go outdoors at home or with history of skin parasites, please apply Frontline or similar before boarding. In case any cat is observed to have parasites e.g. mites, fleas – the infestation will be treated at the owner’s cost and your cat may be refused further stay.

3.      All adult cats (both male and female, age of 7 months or above) can only be boarded if they have been spay/neutered.  Please spay females early. This is for the hygiene, peace & harmony of the Cattery!

4.       If veterinary attention is required during the cat's stay a veterinarian will be consulted at owner’s cost.

5.       Bookings are only considered confirmed once the completed Booking Form plus the 50% deposit have been received. In the case of long stay or cats being prepared for export, fees are payable in full before boarding.

6.       The balance of all fees and any extra charges as agreed are payable on collection of your cat(s).

7.      Cancellations – If you give more than one week notice: your deposit will be refunded or held in credit for a future stay.  NOTE: your deposit will be forfeited if you give 7 days or less notice of cancellation.

8.      Change of travel plans – In the event of owners returning before the end of the period for which the cat is booked, the full period will still be charged. If your return is unavoidably delayed and your cat needs to stay any longer please let us know as early as possible. We will do our best to oblige. In the case of long stay cats, if we have space, extra fees will be payable at the time you request an extension.

9.       If any cat is not collected two weeks after the expiry of the booking and no extension of boarding has been agreed with the owner, the Cattery reserves the right to re-home or dispose of the cat as it deems fit.

10.   Please be assured that Scallywags Boarding Cattery will take every precaution to safeguard the health and security of your cat(s) however responsibility for boarding can only be accepted at the owner’s risk. Similarly, the Cattery cannot be held liable for any loss or damage to property such as collars, beds, bedding, dishes, grooming tools, toys or carriers left at the Cattery.
